Higgs

As you may already know, Higgs boson is a hypothetic particle that the state-of-the-art experiment LHC at CERN is going to search for. Higgs is named after the British physicist Higgs whose photo you can see on the left.

In the recent years, various types of Higgs mechanism is developed by physicists around the world: Little Higgs, Fat Higgs and etc. All sorts of Higgs jokes are also common among the physicists. For example, once they want to discuss the fat Higgs model they show this photo in a strechted form which looks fatter!

In the school and workshop that we are going to hold in Ordibehesht, the various Higgs models will be reviewed. One of the lecturers is Professor Espinosa who is a well-known expert on such topics.

To learn these topics from someone who has dedicatedly worked on the models for years is an opportunity that no serious high energy physicist would want to miss!
