A while back, I had written a series of posts on the Stanfords. In one of the posts, I mentioned that after one century the university and its intellectual atmophere has inspired the people living close by so much that the area became a hub of creativity in many different subjects. For example, a company as successful as "google" was born in a modest garage at the small town (Palo Alto) where the Stanford Univ is located. Back then I was not aware that about 60 years earlier than the birth of "google", in another humble garage at Palo Alto, the Hewlett-Packard (HP) company was born.
