"Higgs" is a singular word.
so from the grammatic point of view, your sentence is not correct. Moreover, "H" of " Higgs" has to be capitalized.
Unfortunately most papers that are submitted from Iran are notorious to be written in poor English.
This trend washes away the little credit gained by few Iranian scientists who work with world-class" standards" .
